About us
UEJC is part of Under The Edge Arts,
based at The Chipping Hall in Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire.
The Jazz Club is run by musicians Katie Elliott and Martin Harvey, with help from other
arts centre volunteers. With the addition of Trevor Davies on drums, we also form the house
trio (Katie on piano, Martin on double bass), accompanying visiting artists and playing for
the Jazz Café evenings.
Most events take place at The Chipping Hall, although we occasionally move round the corner to
the Town Hall, if we need more space. Doors open at 7.30. Music usually starts just after 8.

Route via M4 (coming from the East)
Leave the M4 at J18 and head north up the A46 towards Stroud.
After about 6 miles (just after passing through Petty France), turn left to Hawkesbury
Upton on the B4059. It's only a little turning and it's easy to miss. This road takes
you all the way to Wotton, via lots of villages (Hawkesbury, Hillesley, Alderley,
Wortley, etc.)
When you reach Wotton, follow the road into town. Go straight on at the war memorial,
then turn left in front of the petrol station onto Bear Street (signposted to the M5).
Just before you leave the town, turn left into Symn Lane, following the signs for parking.
The Chipping Hall is the old school building facing onto the bottom side of the car park.
Route via M5 (from other directions)
Leave the M5 at J14 and follow the signs to Wotton. (It's about 5 miles).
When you reach the town, take the very first turning on the right (Symn Lane), following
the signs to the car park, as above.
Here's a multimap.
